Jules, Diego's sister, arrived late Sunday night. She has immediately settled into life in our crazy house. Tuesday, Luis showed her off to all of his friends and teachers at school (This is my AUNT JULES. She's visiting for LONG TIME!), got her to read stories, showed her all of his toys and invited her to join us - and our good friends Elijah, Alexandra and Miss Trenda for dinner at Hunky's. [Note, after dinner Luis had a small serving of ice cream and then wowed Jules with how quickly the sugar takes effect and how jacked up he gets on it!] After Diego got home, Luis put on a concert for Jules with his guitar and some of his favorite songs.
Wednesday, they made gingerbread cookie dough (cookie production is TBD), read stories, took pictures, played blocks, built puzzles, drove the trucks, played playdoh, ran around and generally had a good time (I, in the mean time got LOADS of work done, cleaned the bathroom, did some on-line Christmas shopping, and tidied up the house).
They eventually gave up on the stool for Luis and he just sat on the counter
Thursday after Luis came home from school, Luis and Jules played a very long version of the game where Jules helps Luis hide in a box and then walks around the house wondering (aloud) where he is. "Is Luis playing Playdoh? I don't see him there." "Is Luis in the kitchen? I don't see him there." "Is Luis in the library? I don't see him there." And then eventually Luis pops out of the box and yells SURPRISE!
Some of Luis's photos:
Luis's favorite ornament - the Concrete Truck (Thanks Sarah!!)
A trifecta of things Luis loves: His blanket, Curious George and Pablo (well, his orange hand)
Luis sometimes has a hard time hoisting the camera up to get the subject in the view finder; Jules was kind enough to lower herself to Luis's height
