Christmas Tree Time

On Friday, Diego came home a bit early so that we could head out to get a Christmas tree while there was a bit of daylight left. Last year, we went to a fancy place that served hot chocolate and sold $250 trees under these big tents with bright lights and Christmas music (our tree, however, came from a dark corner out beyond the carols or the sparkely lights). This year, we swung on over to the local Home Depot and picked out a lovely 8-9" tree. A lot less fanfare for sure, but just as pretty!

On Saturday, after another trip to Home Depot to buy lights (which was after Diego spent about 2+ hours trying to make our old lights work (unsuccessfully)), Diego and Luis strung the lights. I left on Sunday for a case in South Carolina, and when I came back the tree was fully decorated. Now, it just needs some presents...

The tree is big enough that you can barely see Diego behind it - just his arm by the window

Luis, who loves to help, took up the position in the back corner to assist Diego with stringing the lights
