Lego Seed Drill

Luis got his first set of Legos last Christmas, a beloved present from JF and RC. Over the year, his interest has grown exponentially, as has his ability. He enjoys making various types of vehicles like fire trucks, helicopters, and ambulances. Often, he will get one of his books and use a picture as a model for what to make. Today, he made this "seed drill" that he saw in his book about farm tractors.

Though I took about a dozen pictures of the lego creation and it's inspiration, none of them seem to do Luis's work justice. There is an attention to detail that I find amazing - especially with the bigger size Duplo blocks. Luis's version of the seed drill has the "bucket" on the front along with the hose that moves the seeds from this front bucket to the plow-like attachments on the back. It also has the plow-like attachments (though that red piece is mostly hidden in this photo).

Luis spent a large chunk of his 60-minute Quiet Time working on this. He was Very Proud of his work - as was I.
